Chesil Beach And The Fleet Lagoon

With over 18 miles of beautiful coastline Chesil Beach stretches from Portland to West Bay and is frequently visited by fishermen in search of mackerel and bass.

The beach is separated from the mainland along much of its length by a stretch of salt water known as the Fleet Lagoon. The Fleet Lagoon is 13 km long and is home to a wide variety of wildlife and is protected by both National and International law.
